What is MORPAC?

A Political Action Committee (PAC) is—simply put—a group of individuals with common interests who pool their contributions to support candidates that support their interests. Most PACs represent business, labor or ideological interests. Federal PACs are regulated by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and are required to disclose their donors who give over $200 and report their disbursements throughout the year.

PACs have proven successful and effective as a means for average citizens to participate in the political process.

MORPAC, the Mortgage Bankers Association Political Action Committee, is the voluntary, non-partisan Political Action Committee (PAC) of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). It is the only PAC that directly represents the interests of the real estate finance industry in our nation's political system. MORPAC supports advocacy efforts by raising money to help elect and re-elect candidates to Congress who have an understanding of the real estate finance industry.
